Twin Falls County Republican Central Committee Recap May 2025

Don't miss out! Follow us today: X Facebook

Greetings Liberty Lovers,

I’m back with May’s Twin Falls County Republican Central Committee re-cap.

MISSING PC MIGHT JUST HAVE AN OPPONENT NEXT YEAR

It really is just the same ol’, same ol’; out of 44 PCs, only 30 made it to represent their constituents.  On a side note, a Republican voter came to meet and speak to his PC, since any PC contact information is no longer made public, only to find out his PC has only attended a couple meetings in the last year.  The good news… the gentleman that came last night would be an excellent candidate to run against his MIA PC.

People, people, people… if you aren’t going to show up and represent, how can you even put your name on a ballot?  I personally would be embarrassed.  With that said, I pray that true conservative, liberty candidates come forward to run against these AWOL establishment Precinct Committeemen.  Now is the time to start thinking about next year’s primary, MVLA would love to help you succeed.

WE NEED WORKERS, JUST NOT THOSE WORKERS

Rick Naerebout, the CEO of the Idaho Dairymen’s Association, was invited to speak to the Committee.  He spoke on everything from the number of dairy cows that live in Idaho to the economic contribution they bring.  It was a very interesting and informative presentation.  Of course, before it was over, we also received labor facts.  Did you know that 90% of dairy workers are foreign born or that the average age of a dairy worker is 36 years old?  That is when the sob story started and we were told that people born here don’t want to work on a dairy, and on how a lot of the workers are here illegally because dairy workers are not eligible for Visas.  The industry is also concerned about the average age of the workers, as they need to bring in a younger generation.

During the Q&A part, Suzanne Hawkins, TF20, asked what the average starting wage is for a dairy worker.  Mr. Naerebout said most workers start out around $18/hour.  He continued to say there were promotion opportunities where you could make significantly more.  Suzanne asked if they had thought about going to high schools and recruiting.  The CEO stated they already do that for the processors’ side of the industry, but not for the dairy side.  He told us that the school counselors would not appreciate that.  WHAT?? You need workers.  American-born individuals won’t work at dairies, only foreign-born ones will?  Maybe, just maybe, if IDA and other agricultural industries worked as hard to get into the schools and work with young adults as they do to lobby the State/Federal Legislatures, maybe there wouldn’t be a labor shortage.

REPLACING A PATRIOTIC LEGACY

The PC seat, Filer 1, left vacant by Adrian Arp’s recent passing, was filled by DeAnne Cates.  She works in the County Clerk’s office, first in elections and now in account payables (still in the same room).  Her husband recently took over for John Pitz, Filer 3, when he retired as the TFC Fairgrounds manager.  I voiced my concern of her working in the Clerk’s office to our Chairman, Tom Wangeman.  He said he would look into it.  We shall see what happens, if I hear anything, I will post an update in an upcoming article.

CARBON CAPTURING NIGHTMARE COMING OUR WAY?

I was approached by a constituent with a concern about a carbon capturing documentary.  The mid-west is facing dangerous pipelines being installed by companies who are bullying farmers and actually using eminent domain to obtain easements, all funded by government subsidies with our tax dollars.  I presented some information to the Committee, along with the website that this documentary can be watched for free until May 21st.  The website is StandYourGround.watch.  It is very interesting on how these companies not only strong-arm land owners, but local governments as well.

ELECTED OFFICIAL MAKES AN APPEARANCE

With that, the meeting was adjourned.  One last item of interest, besides the three County Commissioners and the Prosecuting Attorney who regularly attend our meetings, the County Assessor, Brad Wills, was also in attendance.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Many Liberty Lovers have come up to me over the last nine months and thanked me for reporting on the TFCRCC with my “sassy flair”.  I just wanted all my faithful readers, and anyone reading for the first time, that I have publicly announced that I am running for Twin Falls County Assessor in the May 2026 primary against my boss, Brad Wills.   I appreciate all of your support and hope you continue to enjoy my Central Committee re-cap articles.

CALL TO ACTION

May 21st – Magic Valley Republican Women will host Leslie Manookian, the founder of Health Freedom Defense Fund, at Pebble Ponds in Filer at Noon.  Lunch is $16.

May 31st – Twin Falls will have their Western Days’ parade down Blue Lakes and Shoshone.  Be sure to look for the MVLA float and give an extra loud shout out to your liberty State Legislators.  You might even see a candidate for County Assessor.  Parade starts at 9 am.

May 31st – MVLA is having a BBQ potluck!  Come on down to Harry Barry Park off Blake and Borah for some grilled burgers and dogs.  It is a great time to mingle with other liberty-minded folks and of course talk with the Magic Valley Miracle legislators.  It’s also the perfect time to get information on running for PC or maybe a different elected office.  It starts at 2 pm, so bring a side dish and your chairs and hang out with the cool kids.

June 11th – Twin Falls County Republican Central Committee will meet at 6:30 pm at County West on Addison Ave West.  Come on down and meet your PC, if they show up.

Thank you for this update! While I attended in person, this recap is appreciated. My intent is starting in 2026 to become much more politically involved in my area. I live just outside castleford.
