Passing of a Patriot
Tom Wangeman, the TFCRCC Chair, called for a moment of silence for Adrian Arp after the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. Adrian Arp, Precinct Committeeman for Filer1, passed on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Adrian loved our country and fought tirelessly to defend her. It was just the last meeting that he proposed a resolution a Convention of States, a topic that Adrian was passionate about defeating. It was announced that Adrian’s PC seat will be filled at our May meeting.
Pathetic Attendance with Ulterior Motives
Twenty-one out of the 50 people did not attend our meeting this month, with five of them sending in their proxies. Two precinct committeemen (PCs) were there for roll call, but left before a roll call vote was taken. Some of these are consistently missing, month after month. If you wonder why they even run for office if they rarely attend, I have an opinion. There is a direct correlation between the times that the establishment PCs attend and the times that the establishment need the majority for an important vote. The next time these PCs run for office, remember that they are not there to represent their precinct, but the “powers that be” establishment class and what they want.
Brief Legislative Wrap Up
Tom Wangeman invited Legislative District 24 and LD25 Senators and Representatives to speak about the 2025 session that ended on Friday, April 4 th. Senator Zuiderveld, Senator Kohl, Representative Miller, Representative Leavitt, and Representative Clow were in attendance. Each of them was given a whopping five whole minutes to speak about the session, and then four audience members were given a chance to ask
questions before time was up.
Idaho Syringa Girls State Request
Stephanie Snarr, Kimberly 2, introduced an American Legion Auxiliary member to explain the Syringa Girls State Experience and what was involved in sponsoring a young woman. PC Snarr made a motion for TFCRCC to sponsor four attendees, at $500 each. Tom Billington, TF26, amended the motion to include that the young women we sponsor be Republicans. I completely agree with PC Billington. Syringa Girls
State’s objective is to get high school ladies interested in government and civics. Why would the Republican party want to sponsor individuals who could potential use the knowledge they gain against us should they become democrats? The amendment was debated and ended with Chair Wangeman interpreting the voice vote as defeated, but I can tell you it was close one way or the other. The original motion was a roll call vote where it won by a small margin.
Gem State Boys
Steve Kohtz, TF25, gave a speech about Gem Boys State. Instead of making a motion to sponsor four boys, he asked that the topic be tabled until next month. At this point, there are no boys in our area to sponsor.
And that’s a wrap!
When the liberty-minded group started speaking up this year, it caused the meetings to run longer than usual. The Executive Board decided that the a meetings WILL end at 8 p.m. and started stating it on the agenda. A fact they made clear this evening when they began rushing Steve Kohtz to finish his presentation. The meeting was adjourned promptly at 8 p.m. and not a minute later.
