June TFCRCC Recap

Greetings Liberty Lovers,

I will try to make June’s Twin Falls County Republican Central Committee meeting re-cap as exciting as possible, but please know that it’s going to be tough!

CALLING ALL PCs

This is one of the worst showings yet, we had 17 precinct committeemen attend our meeting.  Some of them did provide proxies, but most the missing PCs couldn’t be bothered to even do that.  The lack of responsibility among the majority of committeemen that were elected to these positions is astounding.

MOST IMPORTANT VOTE OF THE NIGHT

Besides approving the agenda, minutes, and the Treasurer’s report, the most important motion of the night was made by Commissioner Don Hall, Precinct 7.  It was to raise the amount of money we spend on parade candy from $1k to $1500.  While candy for the parades is important, nothing of substance was discussed.  Everywhere you turn, politics, rallies, riots, etc. are on the news, but thank goodness we will have candy.

MAGIC VALLEY AIR SHOW

The program for the evening was on the Air Show coming to Joslin Field in Twin Falls in August.  Bill Carberry and Tom Frank presented an Air Show slideshow regarding how the Air Show got started, how it evolved over the years, and information on this year’s show featuring the Navy’s Blue Angels.

ITS ALL IN THE DETAILS

Before the meeting was adjourned, I spoke on behalf of the Magic Valley Republican Women with two announcements.  The first was the Celebration of Life for Billee Dinges, a lifelong champion of Republican Women and Republicans in general, here in the Magic Valley.  The other announcement was about our next MVRW meeting.  No one showed up to give a report on the Southern Idaho Republican Woman’s group, again.  The Chairman, Tom Wangeman, then reminded everyone of the TFCRCC BBQ to be held on August 13th, and of the remaining parades this summer.   Meeting adjourned.
