Police and Public Works Presentations
- Three new Twin Falls Police Department officers — Kyle Boas, Patrick Jones, and Murad Salvarov — were sworn in.
- Several emergency communications staff received POST certificates.
- Road Master certificates were presented to city street employees.
Wastewater Treatment Plant HVAC
Council authorized $91,284.34 from wastewater reserve funds to replace HVAC units in the Dewatering building and Headworks #2 at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Staff reported the original dewatering maintenance budget had been largely spent, and one unit had already failed. The request included contingency.
FY 2027 Budget – Council Capital Focus
City Manager Travis Rothweiler led a review of the preliminary budget with specific attention to Council Capital items. This was a discussion and review step, not the final adoption. The full public hearing and final budget vote remain scheduled for August 24.
Executive Session
Council adjourned into executive session under Idaho Code § 74-206(1)(b) and (f) to discuss personnel matters and communicate with legal counsel regarding pending or imminent litigation.
